Although this bonus is rare in many regions it can save the lucky ones who receive it a large amount of money. Although Asia is by far the most popular region for foreign teachers due to the seemingly endless number of jobs available, few employers outside of the countries already mentioned will be able to offer paid flights. Some exceptions can be found with higher level jobs in countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

Due to the many attractions of the region, employers across much of Europe have little trouble filling their vacant teaching positions. As they are little more off the beaten track and have a strong demand for teachers, Russia and Turkey might be the exception in some cases.

Very few schools in these regions have the resources to offer anything more than a basic salary. As such, it is rare to find an employer who is willing to offer any kind of assistance with transport costs.
