TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Mac McCarthy

In this TESOL review Mac from California describes his experience during his TESOL/TEFL course in Chiang Mai, Thailand. During ITTT's four week course trainees are given the experience of teaching six hours of observed teaching practice, teaching real learners of English. Our qualified and experienced trainers assist trainees with lesson planning and they provide valuable feedback after each observed teaching session.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit is built like the 4th one focusing on the past tense. Again there are 4 forms in the past which are the past simple (I went), progressive past (I was going), past perfect (I had gone) and the past perfect progressive (I had been going). We also get a reminder of the usages of each forms and the most regular mistakes made by students when learning these tenses.Unit 13 discusses the importance of teaching proper pronunciation and phonology to English Students. We learn how to present the difference in intonation and its use to students. We learn how English language stresses different syllables and how they are used in sound joining. The unit also discusses phonemic symbols and how they are used to convey sounds that are made.
