TEFL TESOL Combined Courses - Teaching Practice

Once a trainee has completed the 120 hour online course we recommend for the sake of continuity that they attend one of our international training centers to complete their teaching practice within six months of completing the online component. The teaching practice gives trainees the opportunity to gain practical classroom experience teaching English to local students in a supervised environment. Our qualified and experienced trainers provide trainees with assistance in planning lessons and they observe all lessons taught and provide constructive feedback after each lesson.

Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In this unit we learn that, besides her/his preparation, the keys factors which concur to a successful lesson is the teacher?s attitude. A smiling and empathetic teacher makes the students feel at ease and willing to actively participate. The topic of the lesson should be introduced in a pragmatic way with a clear, soft voice and the aid of the body language, pictures, video etc.Modal auxiliary verbs are important when asking for permission, stating a fact, or giving advice. The examples for their usage were easily understandable. Relative clauses are used to enhance a written text or to clarify the importance or relevance of a certain object. The explanation and most frequent use of active and passive as well as the most common mistakes were very insightful.
