Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
Good, but complicated. As a native English speaker and writer, this was definitely tricky for me, so I can totally see how this would be very challenging for non-native speakers. The teaching ideas for the conditionals are fabulous. I wish there were an easier way to teach reported speech, but I suppose playing telephone and practicing will be the best ways to do this.In this unit we reviewed the modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice.I thought the teaching ideas were very good because these are hard verbs (expressions) to learn, and for a student a lot of them sound the same (like may and can) but they are used in different situations and they should be able to use the different modals for expressing themselves better in English.
