Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I found the videos in this unit to be very helpful and effective. They helped me see all that I've learned so far in practice and more so, they gave me a great example of how to teach an interesting and effective lesson (what is the difference between a good lesson and a bad lesson). I now know how to use various activities to teach students a grammar point and how to do it well. The receptive skills are listening and reading, because learners do not need to produce language to do these, they receive and understand it. They can be contrasted with the productive skills of speaking and writing. The reading Skills the student should acquire is: Scan and Skim and the purpose of reading: Pleasure,Detailed Comprehension, Recognize functions and deduce meaning.
