Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit shows that some teachers love to follow just the course content in a book while other teachers try to be more creative with their lessons. There are two types of materials that can be used for a course outline, namely: authentic materials and created materials. The authentic materials are real and can be more interesting and motivating to use in the classroomThis was a great next step from Unit 1. There were some parts of speech that I was not familiar with and it was a new experience for me. It also reminded me of most of my Primary Schools years where I so much time was spent on Grammar. Gerund was one of those new parts of speech for me. To me the unit was not only refreshing but also a trigger for me to recall lessons.
