The TEFL lesson in this video can be found in our 140-hour online TEFL certification course.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
Unit number 6 describes form, usage, common mistakes and sample activate teaching ideas for past tenses, including past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. In my opinion units about grammar (6,4) are lack of information. Particularly about how to teach grammar. There is nothing about study stage. It would be nice to add this information. The three tenses past, present and future combined with their four aspects of simple, continuous, perfect an perfect continuous present both a challenge to the students and the instructor. The unit makes clear that even students at the intermediate level and above with a firm grasp of vocabulary may have moderate to severe difficulties with proper conjugation of sentences.
