I have found this course to be very helpful. As an elementary teacher I already have a good understanding of mainstream teaching methods but it was good revision to focus on the basics of the english language. I now feel confident in developing programs of work for teaching ESL students. I have enjoyed applying some of the things that I have learn into my work already and I am looking forward to doing more of this as my new role working for an NGO expands.
In my new job as a Project Support Officer working for International Children’s Care in developing countries throughout Asia I will use the knowledge of what I have learnt to help schools and children’s villages (orphanages) to develop programs and work towards best practice for their english courses. Part of my role will include using the information I have learnt to empower local teachers and give them new ideas on how to teach effectively.
I am looking forward to learning more as I work in this field.
