Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit was informative on all the different levels of testing that are needed to measure a students placement and progress. It was not aware of all the exams offered by Cambridge for individuals looking to better themselves on the global market. I imagine that during some of my teaching I will encounter professionals from other countries looking to take these exams. This unit had a lot of information to digest. Although once digested it seems simple enough and in fact is actually not hard for the common English speaker, however the rules and all the phonology seemed rather pointless and more common sense. But all in all, it was very insightful as it showed the complexity of the subject. The poem by George Bernard Shaw was fantastic!
