Unit 7 focused on the teaching of vocabulary, the introduction of grammatical structures and language functions. More importantly the unit linked the teaching of these topics back to the Engage, Study and Activate method of teaching for straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork. This was useful as it helped to reinforce this teaching structure while applying it to teaching vocabulary.This lesson has taught me how reporting a speech changes the tense of the speech. I also learnt that the condition leading to a certain consequence has an effect on the tense to be used when constructing a a speech. I also learnt about how time expressions as time used the word used to refer to a certain day moves for example we can not call yesterday, yesterday two days from today.
