This video is a sample EFL lesson in a real-life classroom setting abroad. After eliciting key vocabulary from the students, the teacher starts with the study phase of the lesson, which focuses on modal verbs. The teacher is using the modal verbs ?have to? and "can" when teaching the students how to form questions with modals. Note how the teacher also writes all the information clearly on the board so that the students can copy it down.

I took from this unit the importance of consistency in the learning structure. Whether it be teaching new language structures, grammar, or new words, vocabulary, using the appropriate teaching structures is very important. As noted in the unit, not all teaching structures should be the same as there are various ways to teach, however, there must be a thought out structure.Not much to say for this unit. The content is as significant as past units, I felt it was easy to follow and understand. Teaching is all well and good but there has to be a method used to tell the teacher what progress their students have made. If there isn't one, how can the teacher tell that what they've taught is sticking with every student in the class?
Not very easily.
