Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this Unit I was surprised that pronunciation is probably the most neglected aspect of English language teaching. My English teachers often paid attention on this aspect, but to be honest, it's difficult to have pronunciation like a native speaker. In this Unit I've learnt about different teaching technique for the pronunciation, interesting but difficult topic.Unit 4 talks about tenses - how many tenses there are, and how they are used. This unit prepares the teacher to give clear and definite meanings and uses of the tenses. Some tenses can be used in different situations - for example, the present simple can be used to talk about habits, routines, and facts. Tenses convey meaning - they tell us 'when' something occurs.
