EFL Sample Lesson - Language Drills

 

This video is a sample EFL lesson in a real-life classroom setting abroad. After eliciting various vocabulary words from the students, the teacher writes them on the board and performs language drills. These kinds of drills not only improve the students? pronunciation but also help to remember the new vocabulary words.

In this unit I learnt how to go about teaching vocabulary, grammar and language functions. I learnt how the ESA techniques that I learnt about in previous units can help in teaching these functions. For example a straight line ESA approach is more useful for teaching grammar and vocabulary, and Language functions will often use boomerang or patchwerk approaches.about this course I have learned all necessary equipment required to teach effectively the english lessons. I studied about board which is the main tool required for the englis class. Also I have learned regardind overhead projector,DVDs, recorder cassette, videos camera,worksheet,CD player,interactive whiteboard, internet with youtube and several internet sites.
