OTP Demonstration Lesson - Richard - Engage Phase - House Vocabulary

"In this video, our OTP trainee Richard holds his demonstration lesson about the second conditional. He starts with speaking about apartments and houses. After speaking about the normal age is for someone to move out of their parents' house, he elicits house vocabulary from his students. ITTT's Observed Teaching Practice courses (OTP) are ideal for teachers wanting to improve their teaching skills remotely from anywhere in the world."

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Unit 16 covers conditionals and reported speech. The conditionals section is straightforward and simple. The reported speech section seems laid out well and apparently goes into much detail. However, to be honest, I didn't study it in the lesson. I haven't seen any of that in a long time and I've never seen it actually taught using the related rules anywhere.in unit ten i prefer the second lesson because the teacher engage the students in the lesson, uses gesture and miming also uses drawing and pictures of vocabulary item.i also learnt that it is always good to have a good rapport with students cause it aids effective learning.also to always ask questions and make sure as a teacher you need to know your students name.
