OTP English Lesson - Richard - Activate Phase - Food Game II

"In this video, our OTP trainee Richard introduces the topic of quantifiers to his students in Florida. After talking about quantifiers, Richard is playing another game with his students. The students need to come up with 2 foods each that are a) too sweet, b) too sour and c) too salty. ITTT's Observed Teaching Practice courses (OTP) are ideal for teachers wanting to improve their teaching skills remotely from anywhere in the world."

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit, in particular, was straightforward. I enjoyed reviewing some of the material from previous units as well as subtly having us organize the steps of a lesson plan in this exam. The chapter provided examples of how a decent lesson plan should appear. But again, for a teacher with any experience in a classroom, this serves as a good review. It is also a solid reference. This unit goes over the two receptive skills of students, listening and reading. When choosing materials for students to read or listen you want to vary the topics to keep your students engaged and you want to make sure it matches their comprehension level. By varying between listening, reading, writing and speaking you can develop their English speaking in a well rounded way.
