This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
We have gained a great deal from the ITTT TEFL Course. We have revised grammar rules and structures in a concise manner. Learning how to prepare proper lesson plans and variations to some activities have been extremely useful and fun. Classroom tips such as how to minimize on teacher talking time, how to manage a class with younger learners and adults, pronunciation and phonology – among many others – have all been very helpful. Most importantly the different techniques acquired from the course and how to put them into practise have been of utmost importance to us. We always learnt something new in every unit. So, obviously all this is being and will be carried out in our lessons.
One of the main reasons for taking this course was because we thought it was time to refresh on our teaching techniques and now we are planning to start our own business by opening an english language centre in Madrid (Spain).
We must thank Peter, our online tutor for his comments and corrections on our tasks as he has always given us beneficial feedback.
In conclusion, this course has been quite demanding, challenging but at the same time enjoyable. Although, we have some years of teaching experience, we believe that this course will help us to be better teachers. As far as education is concerned there is always room for improvement and therefore, we shall put it into good practice.
