Yuliia from Ukraine had been working as a lawyer before deciding to change careers and become an English teacher. In this TEFL review video, Yuliia tells us that she learnt a great deal of new information about English teaching from her course. She plans to use her certificate to teach English as a foreign language abroad.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit, teaching equipment are explained. The most common resources are: white/black board, interactive whiteboard (IWB), overhead projector (OPH), visual aids, worksheets and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, videos/DVDs, video camera, dictionaries, course books, computer and online resources. Some examples are given to dictionaries and online resources.I really enjoyed the task sheet. The different ESA structures might be a little bit intimidating at first, but when you start planning a lesson, not only they are very helpful (it's the spine of the lesson!) but also you realize that a it seems so logical that you instinctively think about suitable activities to entertain your students while teaching them new concepts.
