TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - TEFL Video Journal - Week 4
In this TEFL/TESOL review trainees Emma and Angelo talk about their experiences with ITTT's in-class course in Phuket, Thailand. They outline the challenging but fun program of the fourth week of the course. They also talk about some of the assessment components of the course and the certificates that are awarded at the conclusion of the course.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
Unit 15 covers evaluation and testing. I learned the importance of assessing the student's language level and progress. This can be done with tutorials, tests, and evaluations by students. There are a few different types of tests that can be given. They include placement, progress, diagnostic, and practice tests. They all serve different functions, but are all important.I learned a number of grammatical rules I had not known before. I enjoyed the rule about which adjectives go where when describing a noun with multiple adjectives. The other rules that specified what each specific noun, adjective, etc. is, was also very interesting to learn about. I never knew there was a word for a noun that could not be plural, i.e., uncountable nouns.
