TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - TEFL Video Journal - Week 2

In this TEFL review video a student from South Africa talks about her second week at ITTT's training center in Phuket, Thailand. She discusses some of the course components, the training staff and the rewards of doing the course in Phuket. At ITTT all in-class trainers and online tutors are experienced and qualified professionals and they guarantee to deliver to trainees the most up to date training methods in the teaching of English to non native English speakers.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Four things need to be done with new language: -We need to be exposed to it. -Understand it's meaning. -Understand hoe it's constructed and be able to practice and produce it. If language was a tree,Grammar would be a tree trunk and branches of language while Vocabulary and Functions would be the leaves that add, beauty and variety. They are all important to the language. This unit had a lot of very specific information to learn. The phonetic alphabet is something that I am familiar with but have always relied on the appendix in a dictionary that explains it rather than memorizing what the more anti-intuitive symbols mean. I feel like this would come up whenever new vocabulary is introduced but would never be the sole topic of a lesson.
