TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - TEFL Video Journal - Linda, Part 10
In part 10 of her TEFL review video journal, Linda tells us that she has been studying unit 11 of the 120-hour online TEFL course from ITTT. Unit 11 covers receptive skills which involve the ability to listen and read. The unit teaches trainees how to develop strategies for helping students improve their ability to understand English through reading and listening.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
I now feel I have a foundation of an understanding of grammar and parts of speech. The notes I've made will assist me in the future when teaching english abroad and needing definitions and examples of the different parts of speech. I didn't realize there were specific rules regarding the use of indefinite articles (a,an) but now I feel I have a better understanding of them.Having learned this unit thoroughly, I brushed up my knowledge of English grammar, mainly regarding transitive and intransitive verbs. Got a better understanding of parts of speech.
Moreover, I have understood that I need to look more closely into this topic even though I have taught it many times, especially when it comes to exceptions in order to teach it more efficient.
