A very interesting lesson that describes phonetics. It covers tones in the English language, pronunciation, how to make all our different sounds and how they are written and described, and also the introduction of the international alphabet and how its used. Word linking, sound dropping/changing are also discussed. A very informative unit on phonology and articulation!Course materials can be authentic or created. Each category has its advantages and disadvantages. Authentic materials are fresh and engaging but may not match the students' language level. Created materials can be matched to the students better. Course books can add structure and content but may be outdated. It is best not to use the course books for the entire lesson.
