Most students enroll to learn English not only to increase accuracy and fluency but in order to perform better in exams from outside organizations. For example in Korea, children are pressured to take extra classes in English to pass their TOEIC exams. The downside of this purpose of learning is that teachers' focus becomes exams and practiced-based, rather than life-long learning.In this unit I was taught about different learning methods. It made me realize that In order to have a successful lesson I need to make each lesson different to not become predictable or boring. I should always strive to keep attention and involve all students. Student talk time is very important as this improves their learning. This is a great unit to come back to for lesson ideas.
