Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In teaching English it is always important to know your audience and be able to cater to the needs of their level and their objectives. Always be clear, as a teacher, who your student will be and what they will need in order to handle the class better and offer an optimized lesson. All classes will be different and as a teacher, you will always be required to adapt.I learned the various types of evaluation and testing that can be done. An important use for testing is to determine the language level of the student because being in the wrong class could be detrimental to learning. It was interesting to see how many different external examinations there are. That really shows the importance of learning English as a second language.
