TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Milica

Milica completed her 120-hour TEFL course with ITTT and is now teaching English to students in a summer camp in Italy. In this TEFL review video she gives an insight into the kind of activities her students enjoy while learning English.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I can understand how students may have trouble with changing pronouns and backshifting when it comes to reported speech and direct speech. Depending on the context, the pronoun “you” can mean yourself, someone else or more than one person. Meanwhile, backshifting time can also be confusing with the many different ways of referring to yesterday, today or tomorrow. This unit teaches two import components of language learning, reading and listening. From this unit I have learnt that individuals read for different purposes and intentions. It is thus important for a teacher to take this into consideration by resorting to variety in making decision on materials for teaching so as to meet the interests, needs and expectations of students.
