In this TEFL review, Marli from South Africa tells us she is heading to South Korea to teach English now she has completed her TEFL course online with ITTT. To help her as she starts her teaching career abroad Marli has compiled the materials from the 120-hour TEFL course for use in her lessons in South Korea.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit served to show me how long it has been since I've formally studied grammar! I readily remembered conditionals; I find them enjoyable and can readily think of teaching ideas. But had I been left to my own devices with reported speech, I'm afraid I would have quickly mired my students in heady language that went nowhere. Thank you for a clear review of this topic.I have found that there was infrmation overload and was failing to retrieve the right tense especially when i was given a scenario to guide me. It seems like the problem of confusing tenses can only be resolved by practising how to use the tenses and nothing else. Otherwise just doing it once will be a disaster. Students will nee support before their activation activities.
