In this TEFL review Koichi from Japan describes his experience as a TEFL/TESOL student with ITTT. He took the combined course and completed the in-class component in Phuket.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
I liked learning about the different types of tests that teachers can use to challenge, place, and help students through their understanding and apprehension of English. While I find standardized testing daunting and usually problematic, I believe their are very good parts of this unit to show that testing isn't always simply stamping \"smart\" and \"dumb\" on individual students. This unit gave a general rundown of English grammar regarding nouns, verbs, articles, conjunctions, and so forth. Having studied many other languages, I have learned that it is much more interesting to study foreign languages' grammar than to review my own. I can see why English is so confusing to non-native speakers, given that we use the same word in different tenses sometimes!
