In this unit I learned about the use of course books and their roles in the classroom. I learned about the advantages of course books, authentic teaching materials, and created teaching materials. This unit discussed in what situations different materials may be better. This would regard the language level of the class and what specific needs the students may have, to name a few.This lesson has really helped me to see how I can take the knowledge I have gained in the previous two or three lessons and put it into my lesson planning. Teachers need to be aware of what specifically will help his/her students to get the most out of their class. Therefore, the importance of knowing what to teach and when is vital and that is exactly what this lesson taught me.
