Of the two receptive skills, the most difficult skill to teach is listening and therefore requires more time and dedication in class without leaving behind reading. During class, as a teacher we can use both skills in a complementary fashion and give the students a complete lesson. It is also important to give varied listening exercises in order to train the ear well.In this unit I was able to see what an example of a lesson plan would entail for a day of teaching. I gained knowledge of how to plan out your activities and estimate how much time each activity will take. This unit explained that you can be flexible with your lesson plans but it is important to have a goal for the lesson of what the students will learn during that day.
