This TESOL review video was recorded by ITTT graduate Floyd. Floyd is from the USA but is currently living and working as an English teacher in Japan. Floyd took the 120-hour online course with tutor support as well as the teaching business English course and intends to take the diploma course with ITTT in the future.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit we had a detailed view about teaching vocabulary(how to select it, what students need to know about it, techniques for vocabulary teaching, ESA vocabulary lesson example), how to introduce grammatical structures(techniques for presenting and practising language structures) and also teaching language functions(inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, suggesting, etc). This unit had a lot of information that I had previously forgotten and some new information. I personally didn't like the looking on line for more information as there are so many places to find it and some places say things differently so it can get a bit confusing if a person doesn't only go to the webpages specified. This unit was short but had a lot of information to look through.
