This TESOL review video was recorded by ITTT graduate Floyd. Floyd is from the USA but is currently living and working as an English teacher in Japan. Floyd took the 120-hour online course with tutor support as well as the teaching business English course and intends to take the diploma course with ITTT in the future.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit things became more specific about how to plan a lesson. Different from previous lessons which focussed more on rough structure, this time things were more detailed. I wouldnt use the evaluation system of the \"where have you been\" task sheet. It doesnt seem useful to me to evaluate someone according to his experiences and using nothing saying points to do so.Lesson planning is crucial to the success of every lesson, but does not need to be made complex. Teachers should make as many notes as they need to successfully carry out the lesson and deal with any changes, along with their objectives and goals. However, they should not rigidly adhere to the plan, as each class is different and changes will need to be made along the way.
