In this TEFL review video, ITTT graduate Fausat completed the 120-hour TEFL course. Fausat found the course units to be clear and well organised in a way that anyone can understand. She recommends the course to anyone wanting to teach English abroad or to improve their teaching skills.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
THAT PARTS OF SPEECH ARE COMPLICATED AND OFTEN FOLLOW EXCEPTIONS RATHER THAN RULES.
THAT THERE ARE RULES GOVERNING THE ORDER OF ADJECTIVES.
THAT THERE IS RULE GOVERNING SUPERLATIVES WITH MORE THAN THREE SYLLABLES (I'D NEVER APPRECIATED THAT BEFORE!)
THAT I WILL HAVE TO STUDY THIS SECTION IN A GREAT DEAL OF DETAIL IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO TEACH IT TO FOREIGN STUDENTS!This unit covered problems that come up in classroom settings. These seemed to be more problems the would be found at the high school or maybe college level. I found a lot of the suggestions very helpful. For example, the strategy of pairing stronger students with weaker students seemed like a really effective way to strengthen weaker students who are also probably shier.
