In this TEFL review, Athena talks about her experience on ITTT’s online TEFL course. Athena completed the 20 units of the course over a period of 3 weeks. Athena chose to do the online course because she was already working as a teacher and she needed to be able to fit her studying around her job.

This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
As a regular classroom teacher I was surprised to learn that so many TEFL/TESOL teachers neglect writing, as it is a huge part of what I do with my Kindergarten students. As a student learning other languages, I always preferred writing activities over speaking ones because I felt less self-conscious, I was more willing to take risks and try and communicate something new.Unit 2 is an introduction to basic English grammar. The unit covers the main parts of speech of the English language and gives succinct explanations and examples of each point. As a native English speaker, many of these terms are familiar but I did not know their exact definition or function. Through studying this unit, I was able to fill the gaps in my grammar knowledge.
