In this TESOL review video, graduate Amy from South Africa tells us how she took two online courses with ITTT; the 120-hour course with videos and tutor support and the course in teaching English to young learners. After completing the courses Amy accepted an English teaching position in Korea.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit is important for future educators to understand the different forms and uses of examination/progress tests. I think that it is important to understand as an educator because it is important to understand that while there are many forms of testing that are pre-designed, it is important to evaluate students with forms of evaluation other than standard test formats. This section goes over the basic grammar points of a sentence. This is a point that most native speakers are not well educated on, and it is good to see it properly broken down. I've learned more about the rules that effect word usage and word order. It also illustrates why learning English can be such a challenge for non-native learners with the large chart of exceptions.
