TEFL 120-hour Course - Unit 8

This video diary entry outlines Chantelle?s experience of studying unit 8 of her online TEFL course. Unit 8 is another tense unit, this time looking at the future tenses. These include the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous and the ?going to? future. It also covers how the present simple and present continuous can be used to talk about the future. In this unit you will learn how the tenses are formed and used and what some of the most common errors students make.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I found the information very interesting, however examples of activities or student behaviors using fictitious people etc would make the material more informative and easier to understand/relate as well as easier to remember. Getting to know each type of student will be exciting and give a teacher great incite into how each type of student can be taught effectively and enjoyably. This is a greatly neglected topic. As teachers, we are often given book and told, \"Here it is. Go do it.\" Well, it's not that simple, is it? Course books are important. Having a guide to prepare by is quite useful. Students also appreciate being able to see and track their progress through the book. However, we must always remember that the course guide is simply a guide.
