OTP English Lesson - Richard - Study Phase - Can and Could

"In this video, our OTP trainee Richard introduces the topic ""can"" and ""could"". Both words are some of the most commonly used modal verbs in English. They can be used to express ability or opportunity, to request or offer permission, and to show possibility or impossibility. ITTT's Observed Teaching Practice courses (OTP) are ideal for teachers wanting to improve their teaching skills remotely from anywhere in the world."

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In this unit, we learn about the various usages of modal auxiliary verbs in English grammar and the rules that apply when they appear in a sentence. In the second section of the unit, forms and usages of the passive voice are presented and exemplified. And finally, a quick overview on relative clauses (defining and non-defining) and phrasal verb types are provided. This chapter was useful and had many new information. I think the formatting needed some work because it got very confusing and I had to keep scrolling up and down. I like how it was broken down, but if it was organised in order it would have been more effective. I don't like how it kept saying refer to the other units when its talking about a piece of information.
