OTP English Lesson - Richard - Activate Phase - Game II

"In this video, our OTP trainee Richard introduces the topic of quantifiers to his students in Florida. After talking about quantifiers he uses an online game platform to start the activate phase with his students. ITTT's Observed Teaching Practice courses (OTP) are ideal for teachers wanting to improve their teaching skills remotely from anywhere in the world."

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This was a good lesson to determine all of the different ways that a teacher can use outside resources to make their lesson that much better. I like what the lesson said about using visual aids and allowing them to help you explain a certain word or idea. IWB's are an amazing invention as well that, when employed effectively, can be of great benefit to the teacher. To finish the course, this unit was a reminder of some of the problems teachers can come across with students. It was good to have a list of helpful ideas for each different scenario for when you may come across one of these problems. It also stated how important it is to get a rapport with the class right from the first lesson, which will help with future lessons.
