Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
The importance of this unit is difficult to overestimate. In my opinion, it is essential to teach the students the right pronunciation from the very beginning so that they do no have to unlearn the false pronunciation which is quite complicated to do as the practice shows. Especially beneficial I found the information concerning the international phonetic alphabet. From this unit I have learned more about intonations, stresses and International Phonemic Alphabets. For a teacher ,if we want to teach students better, we'd better know it well by ourselves,or we will lose the trust from our students.I also learn some useful ways of teaching pronunciation in the class, which will be very helpful and useful in my class in the future.
