Theories, Methods & Techniques of Teaching - The Classical Method
This video is part of our series on "Theories, Methods & Techniques of Teaching". In this episode, we speak about the three terms of approach, method, and technique as well as the Classical Method, one of the first teaching methodologies in the world.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit was rather simple in the cases of the passive and active voices as well as the modal auxiliary verbs. But has become adamant in this case were the relative clauses, transitive and intransitive and the last section of it which were in which types are they considered separate or not separate. Other than those sections, the remaining sections were quite easy. The importance of lesson plan and the basic principles that should be considered for every lesson plan was discussed in this unit. While it is a basic necessity for every effective teacher to prepare lesson plan, the components depends on the individual and/or the requirement from the institution one is working at. Very relevant unit for my professional development.
