Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit covered the subject of past tenses. Past tenses are used to relate to past time periods. There are continuous past tense verbs which would include adding the verb 'was\" with the '-ing' form of the verb. Perfect past tense verbs will have 'had' with the past participle of the verb. Past perfect continuous verbs will include the 'had been' and the verb-ing.This unit covers the basics and importance of teaching receptive skills - reading and listening. Again, much of the focus is on student engagement, which can effectively be done when teaching receptive skills when a teacher chooses text or content that is of high interests and, over a period of time, engages all students and encourages high levels of participation.
