Conditionals and Reported Speech - The Mixed Conditional

The mixed conditional deals with the present results of imaginary situations in the past. This video is specifically aimed at teaching the mixed conditional in an ESL setting.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I definitely agree a lot with what this unit says about getting to know (your) young learners. Having some background knowledge of their interests and what's going on in their lives is important. Even though what's going on outside the classroom is out of the teacher's control, it's still of some value to know and can inform us if they're having a difficult time. This lesson combined several of the concepts from earlier modules to make sure that we understand how the various factors of second language education interact. The lesson examples do a good job of modeling the proper structures for goal statements and lesson plans, and the reinforcing of the structures is valuable practice for writing lesson plans in the future.
