Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Assessment is important for both the teacher and student. Having a student prepare for an exam helps to encourage retention. Teachers can also see how the students are doing. I liked the way this chapter clearly laid out the types of assessments and how to use them in class. I also liked talking about external exams and how students can use those to greater benefit. This unit explained the composition of a sentence and the different parts of speech. It was very informative because as a native speaker I never thought about the different parts of speech, I just used them naturally. I never had to think about how each different part related to each other, it was somewhat difficult but will make teaching the language much easier.
