This video is part of our Lesson Planning series. In this episode, we create a sample lesson plan for an elementary class. The topic of the lesson is actions around now using the present continuous tense. Watch the video to find out how to effectively construct a lesson plan for this particular lesson.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In this unit I found out many different ways used to develop a course for young learners. There is well presented information on how exactly to identify young learners' English level and how to apply the needs analysis. The most useful part was the one where a review of different types of sullabus is presented as well as the basic stages of evaluation for learners. With this unit I have learnt there are many different types of tenses, I have struggled with this topic because they have very similar meanings. This unit has given me a better understanding on present/future tenses because of the definitions and examples provided in this unit. I find it was very easy to understand but it can get confusing when it comes to the test.
