It was illuminating to see the difference (in action!) between the two lessons. It was very obvious that students were engaged and responsive in the second lesson, and that they were responding to the instructors tone, attitude, and energy. The first lesson was negative and uncomfortable for everyone involved, and did not promote a good and effective learning environment.This unit focused on how to manage the classroom. It discussed different strategies on how to deal with the variance of class sizes, seating arrangements, gestures, and student/teacher input. The unit elaborated on these points and explained how each of these can be done in a variety of ways, and it told us what the pros and cons for each of the different strategies were.
