English Grammar Overview - Parts of Speech - Verb Tenses

This video is part of our English Grammar series. In this episode, we cover auxiliary verbs for tenses. Verbs tell us what tense a sentence has been formed in, making this a very important part of English grammar.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This section opened my eyes to the flow of a successful lesson plan as well as the importance of subtle teacher action and inaction. This unit also provided great resources in the form of examples of games to facilitate of all stages of learning. After reading this unit, I can better imagine putting together an effective lesson plan for students of different levels.Similar to the present tense unit, this unit explains different forms of past tense in detail, which helps us to organize our grammar structure and makes us easier to teach. About irregular verbs, it is true that students are having trouble on memorize the past tense form. Since there are no rules for the irregular verbs, students can only remember through practice.
