Going through this unit I have understood that it is not good to use native language of the students even thought I would know the language. I understand it is better to spend more time by trying to explain the instructions to the beginner learners rather then give the instruction in native language when it has not been understood after being information given in English.This unit contrasted good and bad teaching methodology and practice within the classroom. The videos showed the huge impact teacher attitude and openness has upon student demeanor and willingness to participate. I was able to see how a friendly attitude, giving examples, engaging with students and listening to both their questions and their silences made a big difference.
