Unit 1 of this course is about all the different characteristics or aspects of being an English teacher and learner. At the beginning of the course you step into the role of the teacher, which in itself has multiple roles, and you begin to see review what makes a good teacher and what their different responsibilities in the classroom are. After the teacher section you dive into the review of a learner. You see how to divide the groups up in age and in language level. You see how people of different ages and cultures process things in their minds and how this molds an expectation and how this expectation can affect them. All in all, you obtain a reality of how complex teaching is and see the value of the relationship between the students and the teacher.
