Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

The unit covers the topic of receptive skills. The unit explained that there are four receptive skills in any language. Those four receptive skills are reading, listening, speaking and writing, which are all equally important. The unit itself, focused on reading and listening. The unit explained that there are mainly two reasons when people are reading or listening. Those reasons are for entertainment, for example reading a novel, or a comic book, and the other being, for a purpose, such as reading a DIY guide or physical fitness book. Sometimes, it can also be a mix of both. The unit also taught me that there are mainly four areas which come into play when someone is reading, which are predictive skills, skimming, scanning, reading in detail, as well as understanding meaning and context. The unit also taught me that people generally found reading to be easier compared to listening, when learning a new language, since a text is captured in a piece of paper and can be re-read numerous times, while speech is not captured, and therefore making it harder for people to try and understand the meaning. The unit also taught me how to try and make class sessions easier for students, by preparing or honing their receptive skills, by pre-teaching them difficult words which they may found in the lesson ahead, selecting topics which may interest them, varying topics during a period of time to keep them interested, and making activities which they may found fun.
