Regarding teaching the speaking part, we should focus on accuracy and fluency. They're both of equal importance. We can use controlled activities, guided activities and creative communication activities to encourage our students to improve on accuracy and fluency.
Regarding the writing part, we have to consider our students' background: their nationality and culture may have an impact in their English writing skills to learn. We must help them regarding the spelling, layout and punctuation. Allowing them time in class to complete writing activities, will help us to control their skills.
I feel that I can improve in the writing skills teaching. Because I gave them writing activities as homework instead of completing them in class.
