The unit provided some basic principles of classroom management for an English learners class. Many of the principles are pretty broad, general classroom management strategies for all subjects, not just English classes. For example, it's always important to consider students' personalities when lesson planning or arranging desks/workspace in the classroom. But one thing that is unique to English classes is the importance of establishing or deciding in advance what language to use for instructions and giving commands in the classroom, one wants to choose language that is appropriate to the students' English level and listening/verbal comprehension abilities.
