Unit 6 tackled about the rules and usages of past tense which is not too different from present tense, except to the fact that it talks about everything in past. All continuous form feature some of the verb "to be",if the verb to be is in the past then it is the past continuous. Then all the perfect forms feature some of the verb "to have" plus the past participle of the verb,if the verb "to have is in the past it will be the past perfect. Also all the perfect continuous feature some of the verb "to have" plus "been" plus the -ing form of the verb,if the verb "to have is in the past then it will be in the past perfect continuous tense. Past simple is for the past action when the time is given, when action clearly took place at a definite time even if this time is not mentioned.Past continuous is for interrupted past actions, can express an action, which began before that time and probably continued after it.Past perfect, represent actions that occurred before other actions in the past or a past action from another past action.Lastly is the past perfect continuous tense,is mainly use to talked about longer actions or situation in the past that had been going on continuously up to the past moment that are thinking of it.
