In this unit we were able to watch two videos of lessons delivered in two very different ways by the same teacher on the same topic with the same student body. The first lesson was an agony to watch. It looked like the students were suffering the same level of discomfort and boredom that I felt watching it. The second lesson provided a welcome contrast. It featured better teaching, better student engagement, and, ultimately, more language acquisition. These two videos reinforced the importance of the many concepts that we have covered so far in this course.
