This unit focused on lesson planning. It explained why a lesson plan is important and discussed the various elements it should contain. Sample lesson plans, blank sheets for one's own use, and sample exercises were all included. An emphasis was placed on remaining flexible and the importance of self-evaluation was stressed. I really appreciated the sample exercises given for the present perfect simple. I am always looking for additional resources and ideas and have greatly valued those that have been included in each of the units studied so far. The reminder to do a self-evaluation after teaching was also helpful. I have always noted what worked and what didn't but rarely been methodical about making notes about it. I can see the benefit, too, of choosing areas in which one would like to improve and then actively working towards those goals.
